About the position

The Production & Manufacturing Planner will be responsible for strategizing and planning the production process within a dynamic organization focused on consumable retail products. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure product quality, meet production goals, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring experience in production planning and management, along with a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee production schedules to optimize workflow and resource allocation, meeting demand effectively.
• Coordinate the use of materials, labor, and equipment to ensure efficient production operations.
• Monitor production processes to maintain product standards and implement quality control procedures.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Identify areas for process enhancement to improve efficiency and reduce production lead times.
• Analyze production data to forecast demand and adjust planning accordingly.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field OR comparable amount of hands-on industry experience in production & manufacturing products.
• Must be bilingual, able to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish.
• 3+ years of senior or management level experience in production planning, preferably in a consumer products environment.
• Familiarity with smoking, vaping, or consumable products.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning and inventory management software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
