About the position

The Manufacturing Technician position at Joining Technologies, Inc. involves supporting weld and quality technicians in a high-volume production environment. Technicians will be responsible for pre- and post-weld cleaning and assembly of components, performing quality checks, and adhering to ISO standards. This role offers opportunities for advancement and requires a detail-oriented approach to ensure quality and efficiency in production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support weld technicians and quality technicians in a high-volume environment.
  • Pre- and post-weld cleaning and assembly of customer components.
  • Determine and follow method and sequence of operation in performing assembly tasks.
  • Develop laser welding and quality control knowledge to execute production according to specifications.
  • Perform quality leak checks on customer parts.
  • Execute welding processes in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Understand and comply with QA and ISO standards of process, quality, and documentation.
  • Monitor equipment and perform daily and weekly maintenance.
  • Organize work area for orderliness and cleanliness.
  • Maintain count and traceability of the product.
  • Evaluate problems and report to shift Supervisor and/or Production Manager as necessary.
  • Work independently and have an aptitude for technical, hands-on work.
  • Follow instructions and perform detail-oriented work.
  • Multi-task and consistently produce a high output.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Technical experience, school degree, or certificate program completion is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments and mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System is preferred.
  • Computer aptitude with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
