About the position

The Production Operator role at Continental involves operating various types of industrial machinery in a fast-paced, computerized environment. The position requires teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to produce quality products while maintaining equipment and solving mechanical issues. This role is essential for ensuring efficient production processes within the plant, which operates continuously throughout the week.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of industrial machinery in a fast-paced, computerized, quality-oriented environment.
• Work closely with other operators and team leads to ensure efficient production.
• Use all required personal protective equipment as mandated by plant policy.
• Set up and operate all equipment to produce quality products in the spiral production areas.
• Complete all production and quality reports, both paper and computer-based.
• Control product quality throughout the production process and contact Quality Assurance as necessary.
• Solve simple mechanical problems and perform basic operator maintenance on equipment.
• Drive a forklift as required and manage material specifications and inventory.
• Participate in team meetings, committee meetings, and special projects as needed.
• Perform routine housekeeping in the work area and throughout the plant.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or production environment.
