About the position

The Production Operator IV role at TekniPlex involves overseeing the production line, ensuring safety and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The operator is responsible for line setup, operation, troubleshooting, and verifying product quality, all while contributing to team training and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Working safely and abiding by all safety rules, procedures, and programs.
• Line set-up, start-up, and operation.
• Troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues.
• Completing work accurately and verifying the work of others.
• Organizational skills to prepare for line changes.
• Ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are ready prior to changeover.
• Effective communication with team members.
• Supporting low scrap efforts and efficiency gains.
• Verifying product facets such as visual appearance, dimensions, raw material accuracy, correct labeling, and packaging.
• Multi-tasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining authorized lockout/tagout (LOTO) training status.
• Assisting team members in all classifications and delegating work when applicable.
• Contributing to the training of new employees and adapting to new processes or opportunities.
• Reading and understanding specifications and accurately completing documents related to ISO, GMP, and HACCP programs.
• Performing additional duties as required and assigned.

• Ability to read and understand specifications and documentation.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
