As a Production Operator at Arkema, you will be responsible for producing, inspecting, and packaging products according to batch formulations while utilizing various mixing, blending, and packaging equipment. This role requires adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Quality procedures to ensure the safe production of high-quality products. You will be expected to accurately record material usage both manually and via computer, filling out process batch sheets as required. The position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, which includes three days of work followed by days off. In this fast-paced production environment, you will follow process batch sheets to produce quality products that meet prescribed standards. It is essential to adhere to all plant policies, practices, and procedures to ensure that safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met. Continuous quality improvement is a key focus, and you will participate in safety programs aimed at achieving the goal of zero incidents. You will monitor and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations, working cooperatively with all employees and leadership to meet plant and shift objectives. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is crucial, and you will be responsible for completing all required paperwork accurately and legibly. The role also involves operating various pieces of equipment, including lamination and packaging equipment, forklifts, palletizers, and basic hand tools. You will use computer controls to operate equipment and participate in continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events, rotating to other work functions as required by process flow. This position requires the ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and walk throughout the workday, often in a non-climate-controlled environment, with minimal supervision.
