About the position

The Production Operator PE is responsible for the safe operation of manufacturing equipment to produce high-performance chemical adhesives. This role involves performing in-process laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation. The operator will work in a fast-paced production environment, collaborating with team members to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment within the department, including pressure vessels, mixers, blenders, extruders, and coaters.
• Follow proper procedures for handling, storage, and transfer of hazardous materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as required.
• Administer accurate batch sheets and collect retain samples.
• Assist in updating documentation as required.
• Conduct cycle counts as needed.
• Operate fork truck and material handling equipment.
• Fill out maintenance work orders for mechanical problems.
• Report incidents and communicate effectively with the team.
• Use computer systems for batch processing, data entry, and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher education preferred.
• Demonstrated safe work practices and involvement in safety programs.
• Experience in manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Commitment to operator-driven in-plant lab testing and preventive maintenance.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within a team environment.
• Adaptability to change and ability to lead change.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership skills.
