Production Operator - Tacoma, WA

About the position

Georgia-Pacific is seeking safety-oriented individuals to join their team as Production Operators at the Tacoma, WA facility. This entry-level position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.73, with opportunities for career advancement and additional compensation through performance-based incentives. Operators will work in a challenging industrial environment, supporting machine operators and ensuring a safe and clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and machinery in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
• Perform quality checks on products.
• Assist crew members with setups, troubleshooting, and other production/operator duties.
• Learn and develop knowledge of different machine centers to support machine operators as needed.
• Support a safe working environment by adhering to safety rules and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Complete general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work any shift including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification
• Military experience or work experience in industrial, construction, farming, or warehouse environments
• Entry-level position requiring under 1 year of experience
