The primary responsibility of the Production Order Planner is to accurately schedule orders to ensure On Time Delivery. This includes printing work orders that highlight key data and delivering them to the appropriate area. The planner will keep track of delayed shipments to notify the manager and sales, and must understand the products while working with product engineers and other departments to ensure smooth processes. The planner is expected to know each product's production path, cell workloads, and throughput time/process. Additionally, the planner will learn and become fluent with the ERP system (D365). They will generate open sales order lines reports and ensure that products are moving according to schedule. Communication with other departments and Production Engineers is essential to ensure that the information driving due dates is accurate and achievable. The planner will work with the Production Inventory Planner to ensure parts availability and will communicate and help resolve any issues that keep orders from processing within the given time. The planner will also serve as a backup for the Production Inventory Planner and assist Production Engineers in maintaining job schedules. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations.
