In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various pharmacy operations, including ordering, receiving, counting, and maintaining inventory. You will unpack and ensure the proper placement of received inventory according to storage and refrigeration requirements. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you accurately gather medications and supplies according to the specifications of the compounding record. Additionally, you will label prepared compounded sterile products and assist with the cleaning of the pharmacy prep area and sterile product complex, including the required monthly clean of the cleanroom environment. You will also be tasked with sanitizing and preparing medications and supplies for entry into the cleanroom environment, restocking pharmacy and cleanroom supplies, and organizing medication orders to prepare for production. Packaging and labeling prepared medication orders will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that drugs, related supplies, and educational materials are included. Finally, you will prepare and scan compounding record documentation, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, counting, and maintaining inventory
  • Unpack and ensure proper placement of received inventory according to storage and/or refrigeration requirements
  • Accurately gather medications and supplies according to specifications of compounding record
  • Label prepared compounded sterile products
  • Assist with cleaning of pharmacy prep area and sterile product complex, including required monthly clean of cleanroom environment
  • Sanitize and prepare medications and supplies for entry into cleanroom environment
  • Re-stock pharmacy and cleanroom supplies
  • Organize medication orders to prepare for production
  • Package and label prepared medication orders, ensuring drug, related supplies, and education materials are included
  • Prepare and scan compounding record documentation

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Arizona
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
  • 1+ years of experience with computers and MS Office products
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs
