The Production Planning / BOM Assistant Manager at MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain LLC is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing comprehensive plant control, which includes production planning, performance analysis, and Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Order (EO) control. This position serves as the initial point of contact for customer production plans, specifically for HMGMA, and involves monitoring changes in production plans, irregular orders, and communicating these changes to relevant departments such as Scheduling, UPH, Shift planning, Volume, Working hours, and CKD/Pilot car orders. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for adjusting production plans in collaboration with HMGMA as needed, particularly in cases of logistics, production, or quality issues. In addition to planning, the role requires maintaining the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process with HMGMA and Mobis, conducting contingency planning during any disruptions, and managing work order processes and production information within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This includes maintaining line assembly codes, broadcast data, foolproof barcode key data, and working time patterns. The Assistant Manager will also be tasked with collecting and maintaining production indices in MES, ERP, or manually, analyzing actual versus planned production, working time, downtime, and other key performance indicators. Monthly and weekly production reports will be generated to analyze production indices and identify areas for improvement. On the BOM/EO control side, the Assistant Manager will manage engineering changes, including BOM and SAP Material Master management, which involves creating part numbers and maintaining information such as MRP views, work centers, routing, production versions, and standard costs. The role requires monitoring incoming EDI for new parts, maintaining production BOMs in SAP/MES, and tracking material consumption for inventory accuracy. The Assistant Manager will also coordinate with IT for SAP system improvements and manage EO part changes, ensuring effective communication and tracking of engineering changes both internally and externally. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but plays a crucial role in supporting special projects as necessary.
