About the position

The Production, Planning & Controls Manager at Pantex will lead and manage a team responsible for overseeing production planning and controls within the EPC organization. This role involves providing project managers with the necessary tools and systems to manage costs and schedules for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring compliance with requirements and maintaining project performance. The manager will also handle personnel matters, coordinate with various departments, and influence change control management while fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a production, planning and controls group and/or several departments.
  • Provide project managers with tools and systems to manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal, external, customer, and stakeholder parties.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, monitoring, configuration control, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects.
  • Handle personnel matters including hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and training of staff.
  • Estimate manpower needs and schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments in budgeting and planning for future workloads and staffing needs.
  • Influence change control management and critical path method network analysis.
  • Oversee cost and schedule data reporting with accounting and management information systems.
  • Establish and maintain key internal business metrics to ensure team performance meets customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience in project management and production planning.
  • Strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Earned Value production, planning and controls principles.
  • Knowledge of cost, schedule, and risk management.
  • Experience with project control systems and tools such as SAP, CloudEVM, Acumen Risk, Acumen Fuse.
