About the position

The Production Planning Manager at K. Hovnanian plays a crucial role in the operations of the company, particularly focusing on the Evenflo division. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about home building and community development, as it involves making significant decisions that impact the construction of homes where families will create lasting memories. The Production Planning Manager will collaborate closely with the operations team and assist the Vice President of Operations in managing the community startup process, ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained and that they align with the business plans. This role is pivotal in overseeing the preconstruction process, maintaining build templates, and managing construction schedules to ensure timely project execution. In this position, the Production Planning Manager will be responsible for monitoring the division's business plan and ensuring that construction starts are cadenced appropriately. They will also oversee trade partner resource levels and proactively identify any obstacles that may arise during the construction process. The role requires a strong focus on managing the community startup, backlog, and starts processes to meet or exceed the division's budget. The successful candidate will assist in developing contracts, start, and delivery projections, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Production Planning Manager will also be responsible for directing the issuance of permits, ensuring that all permits are received and managed in a timely manner. They will maintain sales contract slotting profiles and schedules, and process and issue construction starts for all homes, making this a dynamic and impactful role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the community start up, backlog and starts processes to meet or exceed budget for the division.
  • Assist in the development of contract, start and delivery projections.
  • Manage new community checklist ensuring items are completed as assigned.
  • Direct the issuance of permits process ensuring permits are received/managed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain sales contract slotting profiles and slotting schedules.
  • Process and issue construction starts for all homes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • 3-5 years of experience with homebuilding construction.
  • 1-2 years of BuildPro usage preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
