About the position
The Production Programmer at Nucor Towers & Structures is responsible for creating and managing nesting programs for production needs, ensuring efficient scheduling and material management within the production environment. This role is crucial in supporting the company's growth in the power distribution market while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Creating nesting programs for hardware, shells, etc. in plate and coil for production needs.
- Entering those programs into the ERP software for consumption.
- Working with the production control team to manage the schedule of production through the shop.
- Verifying and staging raw materials and consumables used for job-specific production processes.
- Upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in ProNest, Alma Cam, or similar CNC part nesting software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and procedures.
- Steel burn/laser table experience.
- Production tracking and production planning experience.
- D-365 experience.
