About the position

Fire-Dex, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Production & Quality Associate to join our team at our Lakewood, Colorado location. This role is crucial in providing production intake and output while utilizing computer skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a keen attention to detail. The Production & Quality Associate will be responsible for both warehouse and quality support, which includes receiving and logging orders, processing, inspecting, and testing orders, as well as packaging garment orders for shipping various personal protective equipment (PPE) for firefighters. This position not only involves working in a fast-paced environment but also requires adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills and follow company procedures. The successful candidate will intake, tag, sort, and process incoming garment orders, operate laundry machines, and accurately enter garment data into our internal tracking system. They will develop a strong working knowledge of company procedures related to laundry and garment inspection, general operations, and cleaning and preparation work procedures. Completing work according to company quality standards while achieving efficiency standards is essential. Additionally, the role may involve making pick-ups and deliveries using a company-supplied vehicle and traveling to provide additional service for our customers a few times a month. The Production & Quality Associate will also assist with creating invoices and perform other duties as assigned. This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with the first shift running from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, and previous experience in a warehouse or receiving department is highly beneficial. Strong computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 40% of the time are also required. The role demands significant troubleshooting skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally. A solution-focused mindset and self-motivation are key attributes for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Intake, tag, sort and process incoming garment orders

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving department
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including weekday overnights
  • Significant troubleshooting skills
