About the position

The Production Quality Assurance Technician at Resource Label Group plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's Quality Control Program. This position is responsible for ensuring that finished goods meet product specifications and customer expectations, particularly in a manufacturing environment focused on label printing. The technician will monitor print quality, assist with troubleshooting, and perform various quality checks throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor print quality on press by performing quality checks and inspecting the Press Log.
• Assist with color matching on Press using Xrite Exact and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Verify line clearance and communicate variances and shortages to relevant departments via email.
• Perform quality checks at Rewinding and Seaming, reviewing UPC and Pharma code testing.
• Conduct random audits and 100% re-inspection of labels noted by the Rewind Operator.
• Document daily activities on QA Process Inspection Checklist and report findings to QAM and Production.
• Assist in internal and external nonconformance investigations and audits.
• Train Operators on new and revised processes or procedures.
• Maintain the area according to 5S standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; college degree in a related field preferred.
• One year or more of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in printing or packaging.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Xrite Exact for color matching.
• Background in printing, packaging, or folding carton industries.
