About the position

Butterball, LLC, one of America's most iconic brands, is seeking a Production Associate for the Ready to Cook (RTC) Department. This position is essential in supporting the daily production goals and involves performing a variety of production-focused tasks on a rotated basis. The role is located in Mount Olive, North Carolina, and operates on an evening shift, with hours varying from 1:30 PM to 11:15 PM. As the largest producer of turkey products in the U.S., Butterball is committed to providing a diverse array of career opportunities across its farms, processing facilities, and support offices. The Production Associate will be responsible for processing products using the tools and equipment provided, adhering to all safety policies and guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position also demands physical stamina, as associates will be standing for 8 to 10 hours a day and may need to lift up to 50 lbs. Additionally, the working conditions include a damp and cold environment, exposure to loud machinery, and potential contact with chemicals or fumes. Responsibilities

  • Process product using tools and equipment provided
  • Follow all work safety policies and guidelines
  • Observe equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
  • Adhere to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Rotate to various functions within the processing department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours

Requirements

  • No minimum education requirement

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Must be eligible to work legally in the United States
