About the position

The Production Scheduler Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA is responsible for defining and executing production planning for final product packaging, ensuring alignment with production requirements and demand. This role involves collaboration with various departments to develop and manage production schedules, optimize resource utilization, and minimize delays in production. The position requires strong leadership and project management skills to oversee complex supply chain initiatives and ensure effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define the production planning for final product packaging and monitor execution to meet production requirements.
  • Facilitate rough-cut production planning for Active Ingredients and ensure compatibility with the filling step.
  • Develop mid-term planning and short-term scheduling for Packaging production using MWB demand requirements and MRP output.
  • Interface with production departments on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to provide and gain updates on product requirements and schedules.
  • Develop and deploy detailed finished goods production schedules to ensure proper prioritization and resource utilization.
  • Liaison with QA/QC to minimize production delays due to product release issues.
  • Ensure supply plans are transparent and meet business objectives by liaising with customers.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Supply Planner for the Athens produced biological product portfolio.
  • Prepare and contribute to Source Supply Review at the site level.
  • Review and reconcile MWB demand and related MRP output, managing risks of obsolete inventory and stock outs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Science, Engineering, or Business; advanced degree preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Logistics/SCM, preferably in the Bio-/Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum of 1 year of project leadership experience.
  • Experience in handling vaccines, including production specifics and transportation.
  • Project management skills for leading complex organizational/process/IT projects.
  • Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art SCM concepts and methods.
  • Experience in organizational transformation and change management approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP and/or automated scheduling tools (i.e., Oracle or SAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills.
