About the position
The Production Specialist position at Dakota Steel and Trim, Inc. involves operating machinery to manufacture metal building components in a clean, climate-controlled environment. This role is essential for completing customer orders and maintaining inventory, with a focus on teamwork and continuous learning. The position operates on the 2nd shift, from 4 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines including roll formers, benders, slitters, and forklifts as assigned.
- Manufacture and handle materials such as panels, trims, and fasteners to complete customer orders.
- Maintain inventory count and ensure quality control of products.
- Lift items up to 50 lbs and use a forklift regularly as required.
- Stand for the duration of the workday and perform frequent bending, stooping, and twisting.
Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete floors for 8+ hours a day.
- Desire to continuously learn and be a team player.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Nice-to-haves
- Forklift driving experience is a plus.
