About the position

The Production Supervision Manager for the 2nd shift at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line, including service shops. This role impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution of activities within established functional practices and procedures. While the position allows for some autonomy, it primarily focuses on executing activities within a defined operating discipline, often requiring guidance for decision-making. As the Production indoor test supervisor for cells 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D, the manager will work the 2nd shift from Tuesday to Friday, with hours from 3 PM to 1:30 AM. The role involves oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations. The manager will develop an in-depth knowledge of the technical discipline and utilize prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute company policies and strategies. The position requires a strong understanding of key business drivers and how the work of the team integrates with other teams, contributing to the overall area. The manager will use judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters, with guidance, and will leverage technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems. This role is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent, providing informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Production Supervision.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Production Supervision.
