About the position

The Production Supervisor at Byrne Dewitt LLC is responsible for overseeing production activities to ensure customer satisfaction, team member engagement, and vendor relations. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating work activities for processing Extended Shelf Life (ESL) dairy products while adhering to cost, quality, and quantity specifications. The supervisor also plays a key role in training personnel and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned goals in production, safety, quality, performance, and cost.
• Meet production operational plans to ensure efficiency requirements are met.
• Monitor production lines and conditions affecting production output.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to eliminate delays and interruptions.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed and legible.
• Notify leadership of mechanical malfunctions to enhance productivity.
• Comply with GMPs, SOPs, and corporate policies.
• Communicate effectively between shifts and departments.
• Cover breaks and staffing needs as assigned.
• Oversee training of production personnel on equipment and protocols.
• Audit production personnel work for accuracy and quality.
• Assist in interviewing and selection of production team members.
• Administer performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
• Develop new ideas to improve operational performance and product quality.
• Lead by example to build trust and handle employee inquiries.
• Support all areas in the production facility as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years direct manufacturing experience; dairy industry experience preferred.
• Valid Safe Quality Food Certification is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
