About The Position

The Production Supervisor at Ajinomoto Foods North America plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful operation of the plant. This position is responsible for achieving key performance indicators and budgetary expectations while fostering a safe and productive work environment. The supervisor will utilize their technical expertise to lead the production team, promote continuous improvement, and develop future leaders within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
• At least two years of directly related food manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Total Performance Management (TPM) experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports, and government regulations.
• Experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time start-up and shut-down of the production line.
• Partner with the Production Manager to staff according to daily production and budgetary needs.
• Achieve key performance indicators including Quality, Cost, Safety, and Delivery.
• Reduce and eliminate finished product rework/rejects by adhering to FSQA policies and procedures.
• Promote a safe, positive, team-oriented environment by embodying Ajinomoto Shared Values.
• Coach employees and provide periodic performance reviews.
• Maintain and update Visual Process Sheets for the production line.
• Lead and cultivate a healthy Total Performance Management (TPM) environment.
• Complete and ensure completion of all Safety Training for employees.
• Train and enforce best practices to meet daily budgetary targets for the production line.
• Complete required production and FSQA documents accurately and timely.
