About the position

The Production Supervisor at Georgia-Pacific's corrugated facility in Waxahachie, TX, is responsible for leading an operating team to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. This role involves identifying and implementing improvement opportunities in a union environment, supporting the Converting line during day shifts, and managing overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. The supervisor will coach and develop personnel while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead an operating team in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
• Foster a culture based on the Principled Based Management (PBM®) Philosophy.
• Drive safety excellence by promoting employee involvement and accountability.
• Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production.
• Ensure best practices are followed for minimizing waste at machine centers.
• Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed.

Requirements

• Experience supervising or leading employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environment.
• Experience supervising print & converting or packaging production operations.
• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience working with KIWI application.
