About the position

The Production Supervisor at Masonite, part of Owens Corning, is responsible for overseeing plant activities and ensuring efficient production processes. This role involves leading a team in a Lean Manufacturing environment, promoting safety, quality, and productivity while managing resources effectively. The supervisor will utilize problem-solving skills to motivate staff, monitor performance, and implement strategies to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant activities and supervise overall production.
• Delegate work assignments to ensure KPIs are identified and addressed.
• Enforce safety practices and maintain a zero-tolerance attitude towards safety violations.
• Understand and uphold quality standards and requirements.
• Implement just-in-time production strategies.
• Manage inventory and ensure awareness of inventory levels.
• Measure employee and equipment efficiency to improve overall cost efficiency.
• Build trust with employees through transparency and active listening.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.
• College Degree in a related field preferred, or a combination of High School degree with supervisory experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• Hands-on experience implementing Lean Manufacturing process systems.
• Excellent communication skills and high integrity.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
