About the position

The Production Supervisor at Maxcess is responsible for executing the production schedule by managing resources effectively to ensure timely completion of orders. This role involves continuous improvement of processes and resource utilization through problem-solving techniques and lean manufacturing methodologies. The supervisor will oversee personnel, ensure quality in production, and coordinate with other departments to meet customer order deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute the production schedule by managing resources efficiently.
• Act as a change agent to improve processes and resource utilization.
• Ensure the highest quality in produced parts and assemblies.
• Oversee personnel to ensure safe execution of duties and participate in the safety committee.
• Align workload with production requirements, including stock and customer orders.
• Plan material flow through production and develop machine layouts according to work orders.
• Recommend improvements in production methods and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet customer order deadlines.
• Adjust manpower and overtime to meet changing production demands.
• Resolve work problems and develop workers' problem-solving skills.
• Motivate workers to achieve production goals.
• Manage labor time and production records using UltiPro and ERP systems.
• Execute the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.
• Conduct material cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory.

Requirements

• Two-year college or technical school certificate, or six to twelve months of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Epicor preferred).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in standard Windows-based applications.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and their application.
• Strong problem-solving skills and efficient time and resource management.
• Ability to evaluate cost/benefit relationships as they relate to design and customer ROI.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Epicor ERP system is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
