About the position
The Production Supervisor role at a local feed manufacturing facility in Sheldon, IA, is designed for a driven leader with a passion for the agricultural field. This position involves overseeing the third shift production team, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining the overall appearance and upkeep of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients.
- Participate with the HACCP Feed and Food Safety Team.
- Supervise and assist in training all production personnel.
- Coordinate planning production activities with the Production Superintendent.
- Assist the Plant Manager in all areas of plant operations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or experience in feed manufacturing.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Good supervisory, communication, and computer skills.
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed and Food Safety Plan, and FSMA.
- Ability to work in dusty environments, adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
