About the position

The Production Supervisor at Foremost Farms USA is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing production associates in the manufacturing of cheese and other dairy products. This position emphasizes operational excellence, employee training, and adherence to quality and safety standards within the production environment. The supervisor will work in a cross-functional team to foster innovation and improve processes, ensuring the facility meets its production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Production Associates in all aspects of their work including prioritizing duties, delegating work assignments, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate sanitation reviews with chemical suppliers.
  • Facilitate and document sanitation-related employee training.
  • Ensure all quality standards and procedures are maintained.
  • Develop instructional work guides and oversee training of employees in the processes and methods required to achieve Foremost Farms' standards for quality, quantity, and safety.
  • Assist in regulatory inspections and customer audits.
  • Coordinate special plant-wide functions such as production planning and scheduling, sanitation and safety.
  • Act as a technical resource to respond to inquiries and problems regarding production, quality and work problems.
  • Complete production paperwork including records, inventory, inspection, sanitation reports, processing/CIP charts and maintenance work orders.
  • Administer related company policies and procedures, including OSHA and safety, and proper administration of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Stay actively involved in safety efforts: attend safety meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
  • Ability to train and develop employees effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in managing schedules and production planning.
