About the position

LiDestri Food and Drink is seeking a dedicated Production Support Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to our production workers, ensuring that accurate ingredients are delivered to the production area. The Production Support Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food safety and quality, while also supporting the overall efficiency of our production processes. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards at the machinery in your assigned area. You will perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your work area and assist with Clean-In-Place (CIP) processes as required. Additionally, you will relieve operators as needed, maintain accurate records, and report any food safety and quality problems to personnel with the authority to take action. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities

  • Maintain GMP standards at and area machinery
  • Perform SOP's for assigned work areas
  • Assist with CIPs, as required
  • Relieve operator, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
  • Chemical training
  • LO/TO certified, may require use of a forklift
  • Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
  • Ability to use various tools (band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knife and scales)
