About the position

The Production Support Electrical Engineer role is focused on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to production factory and supplier problems. The engineer will assess problems, gather necessary information, and develop a resolution plan while communicating effectively with a cross-functional team. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and the ability to drive issues to completion by coordinating resources and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Make quick assessments of problems and identify additional information required.
  • Understand available resources and compare the urgency of issues.
  • Create a troubleshooting and resolution plan and communicate it to a cross-functional team.
  • Drive updates and status of the resolution plan.
  • Resolve production factory and supplier issues through troubleshooting and maintenance of technical data packages.
  • Create change documentation using cPDM and present change packages in ERB/CCB.
  • Take ownership of issues and coordinate team members and resources to drive them to completion.
  • Participate in peer reviews of engineering work from Engineering and Operations groups.
  • Perform general electrical engineering tasks related to production support.

Requirements

  • Experience in digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed signal testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
  • U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior production support engineering experience.
  • Electrical engineering design experience of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystems.
  • Experience with circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical testing, and production support of test equipment.
  • Familiarity with test automation scripting and sensor control.
  • Experience with printed circuit board fabrication and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post-test flight analysis, and problem investigation.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for production yield improvements.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation skills.
  • Experience implementing Engineering Change Notices.

  • Competitive hourly wage range of $60.00-$63.00 per hour.
