About the position

As a Production Support Engineer specializing in Ab Initio, ETL, SQL, and PL/SQL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and performance of critical production applications. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for these applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently. You will be expected to engage in incident management, job monitoring, and root cause analysis to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Your expertise in ETL tools, particularly Ab Initio, will be essential in managing data workflows and ensuring data integrity across systems. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in production support, which should exceed eight years, to handle complex technical challenges. You will be responsible for monitoring job performance, analyzing incidents, and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences. Your proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL will be critical for data analysis and troubleshooting, allowing you to dive deep into data issues and provide actionable insights. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with various stakeholders and teams to ensure that production applications meet business needs. Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow or Jira will aid in tracking incidents and managing workflows effectively. Additionally, your experience with Oracle Financials Cloud, particularly in General Ledger or Accounting Hub Cloud Services, will be beneficial in understanding the financial applications you will support. You will also utilize Oracle reporting tools like Oracle Financial Reporting and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) to generate reports and insights as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in production support.
  • 8+ years of experience in Incident Management, job monitoring, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Ab Initio or any ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of Unix operating systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Financials Cloud with a focus on General Ledger or Accounting Hub Cloud Services.
  • Familiarity with Oracle reporting tools such as Oracle Financial Reporting and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders and teams.
