About the position

The Production Team Lead at Adams Thermal Systems is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor and Operations Manager in daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves overseeing production schedules, managing material flows, and training associates to maintain quality standards and achieve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Supervisor and Operations Manager in daily operations.
  • Ensure safe and timely production of scheduled shop orders.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures on the shop floor.
  • Evaluate and discipline manufacturing associates as needed.
  • Identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Conduct training and line flow meetings with associates.
  • Manage the flow of material within the department.
  • Assure accurate reporting of production information.
  • Assist in setting up equipment and ensuring quality operations.
  • Enter maintenance work orders and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
  • Direct associates to maintain a clean working environment.
  • Assist in Corrective Action Request responses and root cause solutions.
  • Operate equipment to maintain workflow when necessary.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials from controlled stores.
  • Assist in scheduling PTO to meet production schedules.
  • Review and approve daily attendance records.
  • Act as a certified First Responder when trained.
  • Apply IAFT-16947 system procedures and act as a Quality System Internal Auditor when trained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 7+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment and ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to learn GD&T.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication equipment and processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • 5+ years proven leadership skills.
