About the position

URGENT HIRE: Production Team Manager (PTM) Temp to Perm Position 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 2:30pm (Possible Weekends) Location: West Palm Beach, FL 33406 Starting Salary: $26/hr. Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving operational excellence? We are seeking a Production Team Manager (PTM) to lead our team through transformative Lean Manufacturing techniques and strategic deployment. As a key player in our production operations, you'll manage all aspects of production, coach your team to new heights, and ensure that safety and quality are always top priorities. In this role, you will lead with impact by implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques and strategic planning to drive performance improvements, reduce lead times, lower inventory costs, and enhance overall efficiency. You will coach and develop your team by mentoring employees in Lean Manufacturing principles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your ability to facilitate success will be crucial as you guide team interactions to achieve key operational goals and develop robust training plans for production staff. You will also be responsible for optimizing operations by maintaining a flexible staffing plan, managing production schedules, and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues swiftly. Ensuring excellence will involve overseeing safety inspections, enforcing EHS guidelines, and serving as the emergency contact for the shop floor. Key performance indicators you will focus on include Efficiency Ratio, Schedule Adherence, Inventory Adjustments, and On-Time In Full (OTIF).

Responsibilities

• Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques and strategic planning to drive performance improvements.
• Mentor employees in Lean Manufacturing principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Guide team interactions to achieve key operational goals and develop robust training plans for production staff.
• Maintain a flexible staffing plan and manage production schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues swiftly.
• Oversee safety inspections and enforce EHS guidelines.
• Serve as the emergency contact for the shop floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, HR Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years in operations management, ideally in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals manufacturing.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing principles is a must.
• Excellent management, active listening, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with production, administration, and human resources is highly valued.
• Bilingual skills: Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential.

• Military background preferred but not required.

• Previous experience in production is required.
