About the position

The Production Team Member position at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas is an entry-level role focused on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery and equipment. The position requires adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards while ensuring productivity and continuous improvement in the assembly process. Teamwork and flexibility are essential, as team members may need to perform various tasks across different production lines and departments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment.
• Monitor the quality of output and identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Maintain accurate daily assembly production records for performance analysis.
• Perform safety checks and adhere to safety rules at all times.
• Carry out instructed quality checks and fill out appropriate check sheet information.
• Ensure adherence to environmental policies and procedures.
• Work efficiently and effectively to aid team members in completing tasks.
• Look for ways to improve the production process and share ideas for improvement.
• Keep assigned areas clean, neat, and free from clutter as part of 5S practices.
• Take instruction from Production Line Supervisors and cooperate with team members.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic work instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work procedures.
• Ability to fill out necessary paperwork, including quality check sheets.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic machine adjustments.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a related field is preferred.
