About The Position
Janicki Industries is seeking a Production Technician to join our innovative and growing team at our facility in Hamilton, Washington State. This position is integral to our operations, focusing on the engineering and manufacturing of complex projects for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. The Production Technician will engage in a variety of tasks that require multiple skill sets, including the wet-lay of composite fabric, flow media, and resin to create industry tooling. Knowledge of vacuum integrity, spray foam, putty and/or chop application, Duratec prep and application, sanding, grinding, and aerospace tool finishing are essential job functions that the technician will perform. The role demands a high level of attention to detail and quality, as Production Technicians are required to follow directions carefully and possess basic mechanical knowledge. Manual dexterity, good eyesight, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are crucial for success in this position. The technician will read, interpret, and follow various technical documents, including pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Additionally, the technician will receive and carry out directions from designated supervisors and participate in training, safety, and quality programs. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is vital, as is adherence to Janicki Industries' Rules and Safety Practices. The technician will also be responsible for identifying and obtaining the necessary equipment, tools, and materials to perform job functions effectively. Following 5S, AS9100, and Nadcap standards is expected throughout all work performed. The technician may also be required to set up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction and execute Hazardous Material Disposal activities properly. Knowledge and use of common hand tools are essential, and the technician may work in other cells to support production as required, such as in Mill or Assembly Cells.
