About the position

The Production Technician I is an intermediate-level role focused on the manufacturing process of photovoltaic solar modules. This position involves safely operating equipment, managing materials, and ensuring high-quality production while adhering to safety standards. The technician will also conduct preventative maintenance, address alarms, and perform quality control procedures, all while collaborating with team members and utilizing factory computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity levels.
• Conduct operational preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.
• Address intermediate-level alarms and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform basic quality control procedures to ensure product standards.
• Interface with equipment computers to monitor parameters and alarms.
• Collect data and provide reporting when requested.
• Ensure proper inventory levels of materials for the next shift.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership during shift changes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience or equivalent experience in warehousing, textile, agriculture, or material inspection.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills appropriate for manufacturing production metrics.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer applications and machine control panels.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline preferred.
• Honorable military experience in electrical, mechanical, or chemical applications.
