About the position

The Production Technician at CTI Foods is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the safe production and quality of food products. This position involves the operation, maintenance, and sanitation of food production and packaging equipment. The technician will be expected to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, stacking, dumping, pushing, and pulling boxes, which are essential for the efficient functioning of the production line. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards, safety regulations, and company policies is paramount in this role. The technician will follow all company safety rules and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues. In addition to operating machinery, the Production Technician will be responsible for setting up equipment, ensuring that all necessary production materials are available before starting the production process. They will operate and monitor the equipment throughout the production cycle, replenishing materials as needed to maintain efficiency. The technician must follow specific machine operating procedures and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Daily setup and shutdown procedures are also part of the technician's responsibilities, along with any other duties assigned by their supervisor or team leader. This role is vital in producing high-quality food products in a safe and healthful manner, contributing to the overall success of the production team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize food production and packaging equipment.
  • Lift, stack, dump, push, and pull boxes as required.
  • Adhere to all GMP, HACCP, safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and adhere to JSA guidelines.
  • Follow all SOP's (standard operating procedures) for the operation of the equipment used.
  • Produce high-quality products in a safe and healthful manner.
  • Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.
  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
  • Follow specific machine operating procedures and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Follow daily setup and/or shutdown procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor or team leader.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate and maintain food production and packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Physical ability to lift, stack, dump, push, and pull boxes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and operational procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing tasks.
