About the position
The Production Test Facility (PTF) Engineer will lead and oversee production testing operations to ensure that sub-assemblies and final products function as designed. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, developing test procedures, and enhancing testing processes to support large-scale government projects. The position is hybrid, requiring occasional onsite work in the MD, VA, PA area.
Responsibilities
- Interface with stakeholder subject matter experts to understand the designed solution and design decisions and assist in developing test procedures for DOA, OS install and burn-In, staging and appliance, interface and wiring, and other tests
- Liaison with ServiceNow Developers to understand what's required on a product model level and store test results in the ServiceNow portal
- Interface and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand pursue capabilities and integration requirements
- Research and recommend enhancements to testing and testing equipment functionality
- Test products and systems to ensure they meet design and quality specifications
- Write and provide reports for engineers that summarize findings and recommended solutions
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to testing processes
- Assist with the selection and setup of specialized test equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience
- Secret security clearance
- Six years of PTF Engineer experience, preferably in the government sector
- System Administration experience
- ServiceNow System Administration experience
