About The Position
The Production Trainee at Milo's Tea Company plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the production plant. This position is responsible for safely operating all production machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoses, while adhering to safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines. The Production Trainee will manually handle cased goods throughout the manufacturing area and is expected to weigh and prepare raw materials for processing. This role requires teamwork, as the trainee will work closely with fellow operators to achieve safety, quality, and production goals. In addition to operating machinery, the Production Trainee will provide coverage for line operators during their assigned rest periods, ensuring that production continues smoothly. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area is essential, as is assisting maintenance with troubleshooting equipment problems. The trainee will also be responsible for general housekeeping and plant cleanup as needed, as well as accurately documenting production activities and submitting required paperwork. This position may require working overtime and weekends, and it has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
