About The Position

The Production Trainer is responsible for training new and existing employees in accordance with the established training program while also working on the production line. This role emphasizes promoting a safe work environment and ensuring that employees are knowledgeable about workplace hazards and required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively and clearly to teammates.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to locate operating instructions and other controlled process documentation on shared network drives or use production software where applicable.
• Must be a strong communicator with interpersonal skills, able to explain tasks and procedures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring employees are knowledgeable of hazards in the workplace and required personal protective equipment.
• Ensures that employee training and cross-training follows established training program and operating instructions (OIs).
• Assists in the training of new or revised procedures or processes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Assists in finding and documenting errors in operating instructions for red lines or correction.
• Develops employee skill sets by sharing knowledge of product and process characteristics.
• Supports new employees and trainers with guidance and information.
