About the position

The Production Training Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating production training services within the Production Resource Department at Pearl Harbor Naval Base. This role involves analyzing training needs, recommending improvements, and ensuring compliance with training program requirements. The coordinator will also serve as a subject matter expert and lead for training assistants, addressing scheduling issues and providing guidance on training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, determine, and coordinate production training services required to support the Production Department.
  • Conduct studies to recommend changes to training schedules and records.
  • Coordinate improvements to training and work process problems and initiatives.
  • Support production training plans and initiatives.
  • Perform training program analysis of collected data to recognize weaknesses in processes and recommend solutions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and lead for Production Training Assistants.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for all training scheduling issues and requirements related to production training programs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to ensure understanding and compliance with production training program requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Specialized experience must demonstrate evaluating, planning, and coordinating the execution of training services to identify weaknesses and provide solutions to naval vessels production training programs.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security secret clearance prior to entrance on duty.
