About the position
The Production Underwriter at Amwins Access - Admitted Placement Services (APS) is responsible for producing and developing a commercial admitted book of business. This role offers growth opportunities and flexibility, supported by a collaborative environment that caters to both emerging and experienced professionals. The position emphasizes accountability and results, leveraging industry relationships and technology to deliver competitive solutions in the small business sector.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with carrier personnel and retail agents daily to assist with placement, retention, and resolution of risks by quoting and binding accounts.
- Develop agency marketing plans to drive new business production and renewal retention with a customer-oriented focus.
- Sell and distribute Amwins Admitted products including in-person agency visits to develop that business.
- Build relationships with agencies and analyze accounts to prioritize opportunities.
- Develop highly collaborative internal relationships and follow-up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial account management experience in a retail insurance agency or wholesaler environment preferred.
- Experience with commercial admitted carrier products and rating platforms.
- P&C license preferred.
