About the position

The Production Wax Assembler is responsible for assembling complex segmented patterns in a controlled environment, ensuring dimensional integrity in preparation for the gating process. This role involves inspecting components, following detailed assembly instructions, and utilizing various tools to achieve high-quality results in a team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect pattern components and dimensional fixtures prior to assembly.
  • Read and follow complex assembly instructions from technique cards.
  • Assemble complex multi-component patterns using tools such as torches and hot pencils.
  • Maintain dimensional control and stability during assembly using fixtures.
  • Manipulate fixture/pattern components to ensure dimensional integrity.
  • Inspect assemblies during and after the assembly process to detect defects.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand pattern assembly techniques and methods.
  • Experience in assembling wax patterns or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and promote team development.
  • Ability to read and follow complex written instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing 30 to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 125 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work in potentially hazardous conditions including exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
