About the position
As a Production Worker/Machine Operator at Stremicks Heritage Foods, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing team, ensuring the efficient operation of the production line. This position involves operating machinery, assembling components, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Your skills in forklift operation and mechanical knowledge will be essential for moving materials and completing tasks effectively, while also adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate product fillers and clean package coding equipment.
- Hook up product lines from tank to fillers as needed.
- Document information accurately and thoroughly.
- Pull lab samples and maintain accurate sample records.
- Complete assigned sanitation responsibilities and document as required.
- Assemble batches based on recipes.
- Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissors lifts, and barrel trucks.
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 65lbs) and manual hand stacking labor.
- Work at a rapid pace to keep up with production.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with assembly line processes.
- Forklift operation skills.
- Prior experience in a factory or manufacturing facility.
Nice-to-haves
- High school diploma or GED (Preferred).
