About the position

The Production Worker at the Rescue Mission Alliance is responsible for assisting the production crew in meeting production goals in a thrift store and warehouse setting. This full-time position involves various tasks such as cleaning, tagging, sorting, and pricing merchandise, as well as maintaining organization and cleanliness in the production area. The role requires flexibility as responsibilities may change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the production crew to meet production goals in a timely manner.
• Clean and tag merchandise, meeting a minimum requirement of 30 minutes per cart.
• Pack merchandise into boxes for pricing and record counts on tracking sheets.
• Unload and sort donation carts, ensuring a minimum production requirement of 30 minutes per hard goods cart and 15 minutes per clothing cart.
• Inspect and price prepared goods according to price brackets and record production numbers for daily reports.
• Hang and tag clothing, meeting a minimum requirement of 15 minutes per rack at 75 pieces per rack.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the production area and store.
• Promote safety practices in alignment with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).

Requirements

• Entry-level position requiring under 1 year of experience.
• Demonstrated work ethic with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work as part of a team and multi-task effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
