The Professional Development and Training Program Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and designing strategic education and career broadening opportunities for Air Force Futures team members and key positions. This role involves overseeing talent management and professional development activities, establishing effective relationships with senior leaders, and performing personnel management responsibilities.

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the DCS' Talent Management activities for all personnel.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the DCS' Professional Development activities for all personnel.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with Air Force Futures senior leaders, catalysts leaders, and team leader coaches.
  • Perform personnel management responsibilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or higher, including mastery expertise in broad problem areas and knowledge of executive and congressional directives regarding Defense or Service future direction.
  • Knowledge of policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to human resources and professional development.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions and supervise staff through subordinate supervisors.
