The prospective candidate may be assigned to either Highway Maintenance or Bridge Maintenance. Additional details and preferences will be discussed during the interview. The following are the general duties and responsibilities: 1) Review permit applications for Scope of work, Forms, Engineering drawings, WZTCP's, Insurance documents, Payment fees, Workers Compensation Insurance & Bonds. 2) Circulate Engineering Drawings and Work-Zone Traffic Control Plans to other applicable department for engineering reviews and comments. 3) On call 24/7 to response Incident Command System and emergencies. 4) Periodically Coordinate with Resident Engineers to check any concern on an issued permit. 5) Issue Permit and Amendments prepared electronically. 6) Update Permits Prepare extensions and Track permit work in progress. 7) Coordinate with various NYC Agencies, including Office of Construction Mitigation and Coordination (OCMC). 8) Issue Permit and Amendments prepared electronically in PermiTrack System. 9) Coordinate and review contract plans and permits. 10) Respond and resolve on-going Permit issues on a timely manner.
