About the position
As a PE Diver at Consor, you will be responsible for leading underwater inspections and structural assessments for bridges across various locations in the US. This role involves preparing for dive teams, conducting inspections, and providing professional engineering (PE) reviews on inspection reports. Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and develop reports in accordance with national bridge inspection standards to determine maintenance or repair needs.
- Manage work in the field and mentor staff to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Conduct emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collisions and floods.
- Provide PE review on reports and oversee the quality control process.
- Load rating of existing bridges.
Requirements
- ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
- BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred) from an accredited University.
- PE or ability to gain one within 6 months.
- Proficient technical writing skills.
- Must be physically able to perform bridge inspections in the field.
- Valid driver's license required.
