About the position

The Professional Health Planner role at Dallas County focuses on promoting a system-wide approach to HIV/AIDS services. This includes planning and facilitating research and planning studies to support the strategic goals of the RWPC/Consortium I. The position requires collaboration among various stakeholders, including researchers, service providers, and policymakers, to enhance the effectiveness of HIV/AIDS service delivery across a 12 County area.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a system-wide approach to HIV/AIDS services.
  • Plan and facilitate the implementation of research and planning studies.
  • Assist staff in strategic planning, data analysis, and evaluation of HIV/AIDS service delivery.
  • Plan and implement assessments of local HIV/AIDS related community resources and needs.
  • Coordinate special research projects, such as service effectiveness studies and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Prepare and update the Comprehensive Plan for effective service systems.
  • Conduct epidemiological studies of HIV/AIDS.
  • Attend meetings and present reports to the RWPC/Consortium and related committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Business Management, or a related health science field.
  • Two years of professional work-related experience.
  • Knowledge of standard software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
