About the position

The Aggregate Internship Development Program at Cemex USA offers current college students a 10-week immersive experience designed to provide hands-on exposure to the Aggregate division's operations. Interns will engage in various critical areas, including Mine Planning, Process Improvements, Quality and Reliability, Inventory Maintenance, and Data Management, while promoting safety and innovation within the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Promote and ensure a safe working environment by learning and applying safety protocols.
• Engage in challenging projects to gain a comprehensive view of Aggregate operations.
• Develop technical and soft skills through hands-on work and continuous learning opportunities.
• Refine presentation skills by sharing project outcomes with the leadership team.
• Build connections with peers and professionals across the organization.
• Contribute innovative solutions for continuous improvement of processes.

Requirements

• Active pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with at least junior year standing.
• A GPA of 2.5 or above, with a preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the capability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
• Previous experience through internships, co-op programs, or university projects.
