About The Position
Hurst-Rosche has an exciting opportunity for a Professional Land Surveyor based out of our East St. Louis or Hillsboro, IL office. We are an integrated design firm that unites a diverse team of architects, engineers, surveyors, and industry specialists driven to help solve our clients' greatest challenges. The Professional Land Surveyor will be responsible for performing and managing a wide range of field surveying activities. This includes boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, DOT surveys, municipal surveys, topographical surveys, construction surveys, and geodetic surveys, utilizing robotic total stations and GPS technology across various sites and field conditions. In addition to fieldwork, the role involves conducting survey, parcel, right of way, and easement record research at a variety of public and private facilities. The Professional Land Surveyor will also be tasked with performing survey calculations, writing legal descriptions, preparing staking files, performing volume calculations, and creating, checking, and certifying plats and plans. Coordination with field survey personnel and office staff is essential to support survey work requests and comply with the directives of Office and Project Managers. Qualified candidates must possess a Current Professional Land Survey License and have a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Hurst-Rosche will request additional state licensures to be obtained as necessary. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, and Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GPS units is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
