About the position

The Professional Learning Facilitator (PLF) at World Savvy plays a vital role in enhancing K-12 education by partnering with school leaders and districts to embed global competence into teaching and learning. This position involves delivering professional learning sessions, developing tailored educational resources, and supporting educators in creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments. The PLF is expected to be innovative, comfortable with public speaking, and capable of navigating complex educational challenges while fostering collaboration and engagement among diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all aspects of professional learning and coaching, from recruitment through evaluation.
  • Lead on-site and online professional learning sessions for educators, ensuring high quality and engagement.
  • Use electronic and online technology to engage learners remotely.
  • Support the recruitment and retention of new and existing program sites and partnerships.
  • Translate educator, school, and district needs into tailored global competence activities and resources.
  • Implement DSI programming, ensuring high-quality experiences for participants.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of global education for continuous program improvement.
  • Coordinate logistics around program needs and group gatherings.
  • Participate in team meetings, bringing ideas and feedback.
  • Support school leaders in embedding global competence into school culture.
  • Represent World Savvy at regional and national conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education.
  • Minimum of 7 years of K-12 classroom experience.
  • Experience leading professional development for diverse educators and school leaders.
  • 3 years of public speaking/presenting experience.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, intercultural, and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing project-based learning experiences.
  • Global education experience and proven success in the field.
  • Knowledge of the local and national education landscape.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and energy for innovation.
  • Ability to guide ongoing improvement of program elements.
  • Proven ability to use instructional technology and virtual tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, and Google applications.
  • Solution-oriented approach with excellent project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with educational technology tools.
  • Familiarity with anti-racism and equity practices in education.
